Arklow Sea Tours will take you out in Arklow Bay to see the shore from a different perspective. Tours take approx. 1 hour and will vary according to weather and sea conditions. Tours can be tailored to suit the interests of your group from a gentle potter for those without their “sea-legs” to high speed run for the more adventurous.
Tours depart from Arklow Marina on the North Quay, near the Bridgewater Shopping Centre.

We can travel North past the remains of the Kynock Munitions Factory which was destroyed by a massive explosion in 1917. On by Spion Kop, Porters Rocks and Ennereilly Beach. Around Mizen Head and into the beautiful Brittas Bay. See can you find the smuggler cave known as Jack White’s Hole. Here also is the treacherous reef called the Wolves. You will also see the three lighthouses on Wicklow Head. Which one is reputed to be haunted?

If we go East we will see the Arklow Bank Wind Farm. Seven 3.6MW units – the largest wind turbines commercially installed at sea. The project generates enough energy to serve the electricity needs of 16,000 households.

Going South we see the quarry at Arklow Rock, which was operated by Charles Stewart Parnell and is still in production today. Next come the swimmers favourite Clogga Strand followed by the old Coastguard Station on Kilmichael Point. We are now off the County Wexford coast passing Tara Hill and Ballymoney Strand with the seaside resort of Courtown Harbour coming into view.
